Overview
How this division works.
Most industrial groups treat technology as procurement. We treat it as a business. The Software Development & Digital Innovation division carries its own P&L, its own product roadmap and its own market — it builds the systems that run HGSL, and it builds software that stands on its own commercially.
That dual mandate is deliberate. Building platforms for our own equipment, property, energy and mining operations means our engineers work against real operational constraints rather than hypotheticals. The products that come out of that environment — QwikCare and SurDrive — are shaped by the same discipline.
